Frequently Asked Questions.

You have questions? We’ve got answers. Review our list of FAQs if you need to know about what this program is all about and how to get started.

No. Previous marketing experience is not required. Our training is designed to teach accepted applicants the American Marketing system, our services, prospecting, consultations, client acquisition, and the professional standards required to represent the company confidently.

No. We place far more value on communication ability, professionalism, coachability, reliability, discipline, and work ethic than on formal education. If you can learn, communicate, follow a system, and execute consistently, you can be a strong candidate.

Your primary role is business development. You identify prospective businesses, start conversations with owners and decision-makers, learn about their goals and challenges, present appropriate American Marketing solutions, follow up, and help qualified prospects become clients.

We review your application to determine whether the opportunity appears to be a strong fit. Qualified applicants may move forward to an interview and, if accepted, receive instructions for beginning the consultant training and certification process.

Training covers the American Marketing services and offers, prospect identification, outreach, consultations, identifying business needs, presenting solutions, pricing, proposals, objection handling, follow-up, client acquisition, and professional brand standards. The goal is to give you a repeatable system instead of forcing you to figure everything out on your own.

Yes. Completing training is only one part of the process. Before representing yourself as a certified American Marketing Consultant, you must demonstrate that you understand the services, systems, expectations, and professional standards required by the company.

Once certified, you can begin applying the prospecting and client-acquisition systems taught during training. You can start developing relationships, conducting consultations, presenting approved solutions, and building your own pipeline of prospective American Marketing clients.

No. Your primary responsibility is developing business and acquiring clients. American Marketing provides the underlying services, systems, fulfillment, and operational infrastructure. You focus on building relationships and creating new business rather than building an entire agency from scratch.

Consultants build their own pipeline using prospecting, networking, referrals, outreach, relationship building, and other approved business-development methods. Training is designed to show you how to identify strong prospects, start conversations, and move qualified opportunities forward.

Consultants earn performance-based commissions when the clients they acquire become paying American Marketing customers. Your income is tied directly to production, client value, and the compensation plan in effect. The stronger your pipeline and client acquisition skills become, the greater your earning potential can become.

No. This is a performance-based opportunity rather than a traditional salaried position. Income is not guaranteed and depends on your activity, skill, consistency, follow-up, and successful client acquisition. For ambitious people, that creates significant upside because your production matters.

Yes. The opportunity can potentially fit either approach. However, your results will depend heavily on how much consistent time and effort you devote to prospecting, follow-up, consultations, and building your pipeline. Treat it casually and you should expect casual results.

Consultants can receive access to structured training, scripts, frameworks, sales resources, ongoing education, and company support. You are not expected to invent every process yourself. American Marketing provides the systems and infrastructure designed to help you become more effective over time.

Starting an agency from zero means building a brand, services, pricing, fulfillment, contracts, technology, sales materials, operations, reporting, and support systems before you can even focus fully on selling. American Marketing has already built that infrastructure. Your focus is learning the system, developing relationships, acquiring clients, and growing your production.

The strongest candidates are ambitious, coachable, disciplined, comfortable communicating with business owners, and willing to follow up consistently. You do not need to know everything on day one, but you do need to be willing to learn, take action, accept feedback, and keep improving.

Much of the consultant process can be handled remotely through phone calls, video meetings, email, and digital presentations. Consultants may also choose to meet prospective clients in person when it makes sense for the relationship and opportunity.

Do not assume territorial exclusivity unless it is specifically granted in writing by American Marketing. The opportunity is designed to support consultants across multiple markets, and more than one consultant may operate within the same general region.

No. Consultants are expected to represent approved American Marketing services, pricing, offers, claims, and policies. This protects the client, the consultant, and the American Marketing brand while keeping everyone operating from the same professional system.

There is no guaranteed income level. Earnings vary based on the number and value of clients you acquire, your consistency, and the compensation structure in effect. Specific commission details and examples are provided on the Compensation page so you can understand exactly how the model works.

Because every successful consultant has to start with the same first step: applying. If you want to build relationships, help businesses grow, develop a valuable sales skill set, and create an income tied to your own production, submit your application and let us determine whether there is a fit.
